INSTALLATION: Brick to Block Application Mortar Joint Entry
Step
1: Drill
5mm pilot hole using rotary percussion drill
(3-jaw
chuck type) through mortar
joint into
back-up block (approx. 3").
Step
2: Load SPIRA-LOK™ Helical Wall Tie System into dry set tool
which is mounted
into electric hammer drill (S.D.S. type).
Step
3: Drive SPIRA-LOK™ Helical Wall Tie System Helical Tie through mortar
joint into block
back-up. Dry
set tool will recess tie below face of
masonry approximately 3/8".
